Ambassador Serajul Islam represented Bangladesh with distinction in 137 countries and held prominent diplomatic positions across the globe, including as Ambassador to Egypt and concurrently to Greece, Cyprus, Sudan, and Ethiopia, and later as Ambassador to Australia, India, China, and the United States.
After retirement, he remained a bold and fearless voice, advocating against the autocratic rule of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and speaking out for democracy, human rights, and the aspirations of the Bangladeshi people.
